Who we are

Every day, families face the challenge of supporting older relatives, often from a distance. For us, this is personal.

miiGenie was inspired by our founder Philip’s experience of worrying about his parents living alone in Vietnam and trying to help from afar. What started as a family concern quickly became a shared mission for our team.

We realised the real issue was not just about managing tasks or emergencies. It was about helping older people stay independent, giving families peace of mind, and keeping loved ones connected.

Meet the Team

We’re a small, distributed team of scientists, engineers, designers and entrepreneurs based in Southampton and Vietnam, combining our skills to build miiGenie. 

We bring together expertise in engineering, human-centered design, home-care and healthcare with a simple purpose:

To restore control for older people by solving the practical, everyday problems that cause the most anxiety, so that we transform family and friends’ conversations from logistics and worry to love and lives.
